PRIZES: First Prize: A set of six Televue Ethos Eyepieces (Approximate Retail Value: $4000)  

HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. You will be automatically entered if you renew your membership or join the International Dark Sky Association, by completing the online application at http://www.darksky.org/ or sending your application/renewal form to: IDA, 3225 N. First Ave, Tucson AZ 85719-2103. You may also enter by sending a stamped 3 x 5 postcard with your name, address, telephone number and email address to: The Dark Sky Giveaway, IDA, 3225 N. First Ave, Tucson AZ 85719-2103. We must receive all entries by 11:59 p.m. EST on June 7. 2010. One entry per person. Incomplete, unreadable, damaged, inaccurate or late entries are void and not eligible.  No photocopied or mechanically copied entries allowed.

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to legal U.S. residents, age 13 or older.  Entrants must provide a working phone number and a valid U.S. street address; no P.O. boxes or APO addresses.  Employees of the International Dark Sky Association (the “Sponsor”), its representatives, agencies, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by all decisions of the judges and/or Sponsor, whose decisions are binding and final. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.

SELECTION OF WINNERS:  Winners will be selected in a random drawing to be held on or about June 14, 2010 from all eligible entries received by the end-date.  Winners need not be present to win.  Winners will be notified at the phone number or mail address on the entry form. If any winner cannot be reached, does not respond timely, or fails to comply with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited, and another potential winner will be selected at random from the remaining entries. 

AFFIDAVIT OF ELIGIBILITY AND RELEASE: Winners will be required to sign and give Sponsor an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release before any prize will be awarded. If no Affidavit is received timely, another winner will be selected.  Each winner is responsible for all federal and local taxes on prizes.

PRIZES / ODDS OF WINNING:  The prize(s) and approximate retail value are identified above. All prizes are provided “as is.” Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred. Prizes cannot be delivered to APO addresses and can only be sent to addresses within the U.S. The Dark Sky Association makes no warranty or representation about any prize.  The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received.

CHOICE OF LAW:  This promotion is governed by the law of District of Columbia. Entrant agrees that any legal proceedings arising out of this promotion must be filed in the District of Columbia.
