The IDA’s 2012 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place November 10-11 in Tucson, AZ in conjunction with the inaugural
Arizona Science and Astronomy Expo (ASAE). The AGM is open to everyone who attends the ASAE. Saturday's talks will be presented in the Mojave room (on the ground level floor) of the Tucson Community Center.

Saturday’s sessions will feature talks on light pollution by a wide-variety of experts. Talks will provide updates on IDA activities, light pollution legislation in the US and around the world, night sky programs in the US National Parks, and more.Presentations will also include a sneak preview of the animatic version of the
Losing the Dark show on light pollution, the introduction of IDA's new Guidelines for Outdoor Lighting for Dark Sky Places, an update on new laws on light pollution from around the world and more.
Non-members can attend the IDA Members Reception with the purchase of a $7 ticket. All attending will be entered into the door prize drawing for the 6-inch Sky Watcher telescope.
Sunday November 11 will see IDA's annual public board meeting. The meeting, which will begin at 1 pm, is open to the public. It will be held in the offices of the National Optical Astronomy Observatory at 950 N. Cherry Ave in Tucson. A portion of the meeting will be devoted to the installation of IDA's newly elected board members.
