Thank you for visiting the International Dark-Sky Association booth at the recent USGBC GreenBuild Conference & Expo at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. We hope we sparked your interest in dark skies and its natural relation to green building and global sustainability.
IDA is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserve and protect the nighttime environment and our heritage of dark skies through quality outdoor lighting. We have a number of projects and programs that educate and encourage the public, professionals, and manufacturers on the importance of dark skies, remedies for improper lighting, and ways in which these impact energy and sustainability.
